Effective Brightening Without Irritation This serum pumps out as a gel at first, but once you start spreading it, it turns much more watery and spreads very easily. Two pumps is plenty for my entire face and neck, which makes it feel efficient to use. There are no added fragrance ingredients, but this is definitely not scent-free. Raw skincare ingredients aren’t naturally unscented, and in this formula the glutathione, while an excellent antioxidant, is pretty smelly. I’d describe the scent as slightly stinky, but the good news is that it doesn’t linger at all once the product absorbs.Texture-wise, this can feel a little tacky if applied to dry skin. I’ve found that applying it to damp skin makes a big difference. When I do that, the tackiness disappears after a few minutes as it absorbs. The finish is glowy to dewy, without feeling greasy. The pH is skin-friendly at around 5.5.I have mature combination skin that leans dehydrated, and this has worked really well for me. It helps plump fine lines and gives my skin a healthy glow. The ingredient list is nicely put together, with brightening ingredients like niacinamide, glutathione, arbutin, and persimmon fruit extract, along with hydrating and soothing components like glycerin, centella asiatica extract, and fructooligosaccharides, which also act as antioxidants and prebiotics. This is specifically for dark spots, and I’ve definitely seen some improvement in skin brightness since I started using it a month ago in my night routine but most importantly, this has been very gentle on my skin. I’ve had no stinging, irritation, or redness, which is always a win for me. Apothe is a new brand to me, but based on this product, it’s one I’m definitely keeping an eye on.The packaging is a bit of a mixed bag. The bottle feels slightly plasticky and inexpensive in hand, but it looks nice, the pump works well, and I much prefer a pump over a dropper for something like this. All things considered, this is a gentle, effective, glow-boosting serum with a strong ingredient list. As long as you’re okay with a brief natural ingredient scent, it’s absolutely worth trying.

Luxe in more ways than one This feels like a really polished, well thought out product from the moment you open it. The packaging is luxe and makes it feel special enough that I actually want to use it consistently.I have seen visible improvement in dull spots on my cheeks and some lingering dark spots on my chin. My skin looks more even overall, and I like how gentle it feels despite having active ingredients. It absorbs nicely and layers well without irritation. Most importantly for me, it has not upset my sensitive skin at all. Between the results, the ingredient list, and the overall experience, this has been a great addition to my routine and seems very effective. I can't wait to see the results as I stay consistent with using it.

Nice brightening serum for sensitive skin This APOTHE brightening serum has made my aging, rosacea prone skin pretty happy. I’ve been using it twice daily for about three weeks, and so far I like everything about it. The texture is a lightweight, thin gel that absorbs in a couple of minutes without leaving any stickiness. It works well under makeup in the morning with no pilling, and at night it layers nicely over a face mist and a hyaluronic serum. The formula is designed for layered hydration, brightening, soothing, and barrier repair, and I do feel like my skin looks a little brighter and more even. I’m sensitive to comedogenic ingredients, so I really appreciate that this serum scores very low on the comedogenic scale. I’m prone to breakouts around my nostrils and chin, but this hasn’t caused any issues. Here’s the full ingredient list if you want to do your own research:Water, Niacinamide, Methylpropanediol, Glycerin, Glycereth-26, 1,2-Hexanediol, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Arbutin, Polyglycerin-3, Potentilla Anserina Extract, Avena Sativa (Oat) Kernel Extract, Cynara Scolymus (Artichoke) Leaf Extract, Coptis Japonica Root Extract, Centella Asiatica Extract, Cyperus Rotundus Root Extract, Diospyros Kaki Fruit Extract, Vitis Vinifera (Grape) Fruit Cell Extract, Sodium Hyaluronate, Hydrogenated Lecithin, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Water, Ammonium Acryloyldimethyltaurate/VP Copolymer, Bisabolol, Butylene Glycol, Ethylhexylglycerin, Bakuchiol, Xanthan Gum, Adenosine, Carbomer, Disodium EDTA, Tromethamine, Polyquaternium-51, Beta-Glucan, Lactococcus Ferment Lysate, Cetearyl Alcohol, Fructooligosaccharides, Sodium Citrate, Cholesterol, Glycine, Zinc Sulfate, Glutathione, Sodium Chloride, Hydrogenated Phosphatidylcholine, Propanediol, Sucrose Distearate, Hydroxypropyl CyclodextrinI also like that it’s completely unscented with no added fragrance. I wouldn’t call my results dramatic, but my skin definitely feels smoother, and the brightening ingredients seem effective while still being gentle. The packaging is an added bonus, the beautiful bottle looks like glass but is actually plastic (great for my clumsy hands), and the pump makes it easy to dispense just what I need without any drips.Overall, it’s a solid serum, especially if you want something gentle.
