It works very good! works very good. It is powered by the controller. But it only works when you press a key so it doesn’t drain the batteries. The only thing that I could see as a negative point. It makes the controller more bulky and a bit harder to hold. But for games like flight simulator. It adds a layer of control for non-critical systems.

Looks great, functions as expected. Durability is compromised. There has been a quite a few reviews here claiming that this product is an absolute god sent. Let me address this to you, this product isnt it. Allow me to go over the good the bad and the ugly.It was functional in game thats I didnt even expect to support keyboards and in some cases the AWSD even acted as analog keys in shooters much like on a regular PC keyboard. That was surprising but utterly useless because keys are too small, even for my thing and frail fingers. The brightness on the keys are exceptional. At first you will believe you have a quality product which is deceiving, but Ill explain that later. The lights on the keyboard will automatically shut off when not in used and restart again when using. Thats a very good thing especially since it will drain your controller's battery. Quite quickly as well. (assuming you dont have it plugged in)The fit and finish, well, its a hit and miss. The finish is great. The buttons are all rubberized and not too sticky. the overall material is pretty average so dont expect top quality stuff. As long as you dont throw your controller, the keyboard will be fine. The fit of the apparatus is a miss. It will for sure fit into your controller but there is no *click* that lets you know that its been inserted properly. Ii fact, its hard to know when its officially inserted into your controller.So wheres the problem?Simple. Its stopped working. It happened after a week and i was not even using it it very heavely. So because of that I cannot recommend it. At all. You can go ahead and believe the other reviews if you like but based on my experience, this wasnt it, chief. SKIP!

Headset aux does not seat properly. Keypad and backlight are in good working order. The only issue so far is that my headset mic does not work when plugged into the gamepad's port. I have to manually push into the port for it to pick up the mic other wise it doesn’t fully seat. I have hyper X cloud 2 so quality of the headset isn’t the issue because it plugs and works just fine when inserted into just the controller. 30 bucks is 30 bucks though.
