I found "Ignite Your LinkedIn Profile" to be a helpful resource for improving my client's job search on LinkedIn. While some tips were insightful, I felt that the book could have gone more in-depth on certain topics. Overall, I would recommend it as a useful starting point for those looking to enhance their LinkedIn presence.

Using this guide, I immediately identified several things I am currently doing wrong on my profile. I have already begun fixing some problem areas. I can’t wait for the next instalment and I know that the changes I’m making will result in a much more professional profile which will get results!

I've been an avid LinkedIn user for a long time and I've been through a few tips & tricks articles to optimize but I knew I could do more. Wittman doesn't just provide tips, he gives you hands-on advice on how to really tweak your profile to get out the maximum! I'm so excited I found this book because I now know there is a ton more potential in my profile (and that not having too many recommendations might actually be a good thing! Really? Yep, pick up a copy and find out).

A timely book for so many people in my generation where we used to apply job through newspaper job advertisements. though I have created my Linkedin profile, there were so many information from this book that I can use to tighten up my profile. My last job was through a recruiter who read my Linkedin profile and reached out to me so I understand how important Linkedin is. Through the tips given in this book, I will definitely revisit my Linkedin profile and put in those information that I have not paid much attention or much thought to when I first wrote the profile. I would strongly recommend this book to anyone who is looking to start a Linkedin profile or to improve their profile

Sporadic and Unhelpful Presentation of Ideas I normally don't write reviews, but this book is all over the place with its presentation and communication of ideas. It felt like someone just jammed a bunch of random thoughts together. It also does not have step by step instructions of how to maximize your LinkedIn profile. You should pass on this and look at other options

Quick and concise Great book. High level content on LinkedIn optimization. Wish there were more examples. Will look into his other material for the advanced content.

Learn about the correct format and ways to differentiate yourself from others on LinkedIn. It is a very useful resource to truly differentiate your LinkedIn profile and understand how the algorithm works for or against you. Don includes very helpful information about how to revamp your profile, how to optimize search results (so that your profile shows up at the top), how recruiters search, keywords (who knew?!), how long your profile should be and other useful information one would never think of or realize is important. Before reading this, I simply copied and pasted my resume onto my LinkedIn profile but it is actually not the best way to attract potential recruiters or employers. Also, I learned through this book that even if you're not looking for a new job, it is best to keep your profile up to date.

Fabulous tool! If you are looking for a better job, you probably should and constantly, then LinkedIn is your best route! If this is the case and you are using LinkedIn you absolutely have to read this book. Short, easy to read and essential information! You want a better job then you have to out compete others! In this book Don gives you the tools to do that. Happy with your job and have no desire to improve your and your families life then DO NOT READ THIS BOOK. However if you are reading this review clearly you want to make a better life for your family and yourself. So do yourself a favor and read it. I really gained a great deal from reading this book and it’s pearls of knowledge. I know you will too!

Seemingly good ideas, but could use more examples I enjoyed the read, but I was expecting more -- especially in the examples department. Book was too short w/out enough substance. Without more substance, more specific examples of what works and what does not, I cannot recommend this book to others. There are better LinkedIn profile books out there.

This book should be part of every job seeker's arsenal It is common for professionals to create a LinkedIn profile & then hardly revisit the site. Why? Because they are disappointed with the results. It would appear like the frustration with the lack of outcomes, may be stemming from the way we create the LinkedIn profile.Donald Wittmann's book, "Ignite Your LinkedIn Profile" is written with the job seeker in mind. It starts by putting out credible statistics and data about how enormous the LinkedIn search engine is and what its primary purpose is.He then takes the reader step-by-step through the process of improving one's profile so that you become visible to recruiters out in the marketplace. He goes through nitty-gritty details over things such as your profile picture & the message it puts across. A picture is worth a thousand words; indeed, as he quotes statistics that indicate that many recruiters do make decisions based on a profile picture. My favourite chapters were #5: which highlights what affects LinkedIn search results; #6 which helps you to set up your keywords; and #7 which point out what should be the high-value areas of your profile. It would be best if you were visible online so that you can be found by the people that are looking for someone like you for a job.The book is short and an easy read. Donald has also added in a gift inside - an audiobook which you can listen to on the commute to work.

What Affects LinkedIn Search Results It is nice to see a new LinkedIn book that covers what is the most important for me and many members overlook - how to stand out from 756 (April 2021) million members...with ensuring you rank high with your keywords and other tips. The first 3 chapters are for LinkedIn members who are just getting started on LinkedIn.Chapter 4 - I like the readability part as it is often overlooked by LinkedIn members. The author has included a section on comparing the desktop and the mobile, which I covered in this book: Pimp Your Profile: How to Amplify your LinkedIn Profile on your Mobile Device.Chapter 5 is very important and the reader should take note. What was missing was #hashtags and comments, but that may be covered by user activity bullet.Chapter 6 is good and I covered the same "Wordle" tool in my LinkedIn book: LinkedIn Secrets Revealed: 10 Secrets To Unlocking Your Complete Profile on LinkedIn.comChapter 7 matches up well with the previous two chapters and covers the best place on your profile to leverage your keywords.I would skip chapter 8 as it seem to me as a closing paragraph.Don't forget to secure your LinkedIn profile as well! This book will help you do just that: How to Bullet Proof Your LinkedIn Profile: 10 Security Issues to Avoid. If you are curious to know if this is a best-selling LinkedIn book, then read this eBook: Top 10 LinkedIn Greatest Sellers: The Ultimate Top Ten LinkedIn eBooks (Volume Book 1).Note: April 2021 -You need to research LinkedIn Relevance (the algo, that limits your searchability)!
