The Titus model is retailing at more than the price of the book. The content itself is very basic and suitable for kids.

Colocar a caixa da miniaturas como sendo parte do livro atrapalha um pouco, mas não deixe o livro ruim para a leitura. Recomendo, vale a pena comprar.

Nice book honestly. I only bought it for the Titus model since it's cheaper than elsewhere but as a display painter, I really enjoyed the contents of the book. I like lore too and have been reading the books and painting models for 15 years but I found plenty in here I didn't know. There's also lots of nice info on the characters, older versions of their models, explanations of detailing on the models which helps with the visual storytelling and lovely high quality, large photos of models. Great to get a better look at some of the official paint schemes if that's your style.Warhammer lore is incredibly scattered so it's nice to have this to hand for some of the more important details for each character. For example on the msrneus Calgar page it has a nice timeline of major events and dates in the ultramarines history as well as further details of what these are in the VERY detailed glossary.I expected a cheap magazine type thing but this was nice. Hardback, pretty cover and about 3/4 of an inch thick of pages. It would make a really neat gift for a good price too.

Great companion piece for learning lore. This is exactly what I was looking for.

Good Book Bad Design The book itself is good quality and though the characters featured aren’t comprehensive, it’s worth the price. The model side of things however was very disappointing. The front half of the book is just a cardboard enclosure for the sprue. Very clunky design and it’s unpleasant to literally tear into a new book. What’s more is my sprue was super warped there are no instructions or transfers included. Just a chunk of bent plastic entombed within a book.

A Draft Masquerading as a Warhammer Encyclopedia: Disappointing Execution from DK Publishing I seldom leave a negative review, so it is rather unfortunate that it has to be with both DK and the topic of Warhammer. As others have stated and shown, about 1/2 of the book is taken up by the Titus model housing. This would not have been such a disaster if the spine and inlay of the book so heavily relies on this bulbus container. When the model is removed, you are then left with a gapping hole that is greatly unsettling and horrific to display. It feels like one is keeping a empty box on their bookshelf. It almost makes me refrain from even removing the model, yet it is one of the driving points of getting this book (and they probably counted on that). I would have shown a picture regarding the size of the box within the book, though another reviewer has already done so and to repost would be redundant. The content of the book is, unfortunately, lackluster with many named characters being omitted, such as Lemartes and Murderfang (who are still on the Warhammer Shop's Website). While the images are rather enjoyable, it feels more like this was a test-print for a new version of their previous Warhammer figure book (which is lovely). The information they provide for each entry is rather base-line and feels more like a quick thumb-nail blurb found in the free Lexicanum 40k website rather than being of any creative insight of the characters. Granted, I was never looking for in-depth detail, but it just feels half-hearted and flat. While I understand that the highlight is the models and their features, much like in the previous Warhammer 40k book DK published, but it just does not appear professional for what is being offered.Again I shall state, it feels more like a draft of new entries for a revised Ultimate Warhammer 40k Book from DK Publishing rather than a standalone book. The fact that Titus is thrown into the mix almost as if a bribe to buy the book, for it was most certainly my main attention getter, also hints at a lack of conviction from the marketing team to the point they needed to add something to make it worth while. And on that I must emphasize it is most certainly a phenomenal deal considering the recently raised prices of Warhammer miniatures along with Titus's asking price when he was listed on the website.Alas, though, we are not reviewing the Titus model, we are reviewing the book and unfortunately it is a poor execution of a greater lack of attempt to create a character encyclopedia of the grimdark world of Warhammer 40k, especially considering the rather glaring number of characters that Warhammer 40k offers. The book does not even attempt to have honorable mentions of characters that do not currently have models.Perhaps DK's team will read this and consider revising and/or expanding their Warhammer 40k Ultimate Book to at least remedy this rather unfortunate mistake.

Could've been better The book overall is not bad. If you think about it, you are getting Lieutenant (now Captain) Titus and a free book for quite a deal, specially considering how GW handles prices (the mini itself is more expensive than the book with the mini, lol)The box where the mini is stored is bigger than the book itself and this does not make any sense, specially when you unwrap it and see that the mini does not cover that much space. As for the book, most of the names (if not all of them) are from the current set. Do not expect major characters from other times or eras (Horus Heresy, certain wars/events), which can be quite disappointing and there are some missing names from the current era that should've been included.Overall, if you are new to 40K, it is a nice book. If you already know a lot of the 40k universe it is also a nice book.... but, in that case, you can skip it. As many have already pointed out the major concern with this product is how the box is bigger than the book, which doesn't make any sense, to be honest

Came for the broken figure, stayed for the Lore Quality figure encyclopedia. The free model was very fragile and broke almost instant instantaneously do not purchase for that reason. The pictures stories and stats of the characters is fabulous.
