A novel of my experience: Using this for the first time with their ultra gentle cleanser (alternating with a salicylic acid cleanser once a week or so) also for the first time. The cleanser and the face balm don't even make my highly irritable skin flush - as someone who has rosacea flushing and bumps this was the surprising; I am sensitive to aloe, oat, alcohol, borderline anything under the rainbow including the sun. After a week or two I really noticed that my overall redness was calming down. I added a nightly routine of jojoba oil (heard it was good for aging skin and easy, not a professional though) as well as consistent and religious application of a fragrance free mineral sunscreen. Honestly, my face hasn't been this happy in years. My triggered flare ups are few and far between if any in the last couple months. The balm isn't over the top hydrating, but my face is also in a healing stage in a dry climate so hard to comment on that. To each their own, but I would consider this part of my skin care routine for the foreseeable future.

Only thing that hydrated but also didn’t sting my eyelids after a contact reaction to eyelash tint. Worked better than prescription medication which was too harsh. Absolute lifesaver and couldn’t recommend enough

Caused skin irritation I tried this cream 2 years ago on my combo acne skin and it was just ok, a bit too greasy and doesn’t blend well with my sunscreen and makeup. Unfortunately this cream was not a holy grail.Recently I had a CO2 laser done and I was using Alastin nectar to help me heal faster which worked great. Once my skin was no longer raw and oozing with new pink skin formed, I decided to go cheap and switch to the cicalfate cream since u saw some online CO2 laser healing instructions stating this cream can be used post CO2 laser. That was a big mistake since I developed skin rash and horrible itching as soon as I put this cream on my face. I had to gently wipe it off and it nearly destroyed my skin. I would not recommend this cream post co2 laser.

The only cream that works This is the only cream that calms my skin . It doesn’t sting or irritate my skin . It heals my sensitive skin and has rebuilt and strengthens my barrier . The best sensitive skin and roscea skin care line . If I have irritation or redness or dryness or any flare up ; this cream will completely calm my skin within 24 hours .

Liked but didn't love compared to the cream I bought this after using and LOVING the cream formulation, which is lighter weight. I have super dry, sensitive, reactive skin, but I used 4-5 pumps of the lighter weight cream formulation to feel like I was getting enough hydration, so naturally I thought I'd switch it up and try the balm, hoping for more hydration with less product usage.I will say there's nothing wrong with this formula! It's lovely, hydrating, gentle, and soothing. But it doesn't soak into my skin as readily as the cream formula: in true balm form, it "sits" a little more on top of the skin, and I don't feel like I'm getting really plump and juicy with it. When I layer it on top of another lightweight moisturizer, it's great for locking in that product, but for my use, and compared to the lighter formula, it's just not 5 stars.

Great lotion for very dry skin I had a laser done on my face and the products they gave me weren't working. This came highly recommended so I gave it a try. I'm very glad I did! It moisturized my face really well without appearing greasy.I used the rest when my face got dry from winter (in th midwest).Felt very rich and smooth. Medium thickness.

A must have for sensitive reactive skin! Excellent basic moisturizer for sensitive skin. I have extremely sensitive and reactive skin and during the pandemic I had horrible allergic reactions to masks that went on and on until I tried Avene products. This is my go to face cream which can also be used around the eyes because it's not too heavy. Any time I have a reaction I rely on this along with a little hydrocortisone cream and maybe the Avene spring water if my face is extra hot. It heals my skin quickly and doesn't clog my pores. I use a lot of other Avene products such as the Hydrance Rich face cream which is a bit heavier and more moisturizing, the mineral sunscreen and others but this is one I can never be without especially when traveling or going in the sun.
