Sturdy, well-built, looks good, good value. Didn't give it a five as a lot of plastic by the handle so not sure how long it will hold up.

We ordered the 9' California Aluminum Market Umbrella for a large family gathering. In my only complaint, it arrived after the fact, many days after its promised delivery. But once received, it's been great. It's quite sizable, throwing a good shadow on hot summer days. It's very attractive, and the blue Sunbrella fabric looks rich. Zero sign of fading after several months in the sun! It cranks up and down very easily, but you do have to duck your head at the very end of its closing. Very pleased. Given the umbrella's spread when open, I'd caution that you need a weighty base to hold it upright. It quickly blew over on its side (with no damage) with a light-weight base we initially used. But that's an issue with the base, not the umbrella.

Umbrella is well made. Material is of good quality. The crank and tilt work as described with no issues so far. Have only used this one summer, hopefully will continue to exceed my expectations.

Extremely poorly constructed. I bought one the first time only to have it tipped over from wind that wasn’t even that bad. So much for the vents that are supposed to work so well “ featuring a built in wind vent.” The aluminum arms snapped. So I put it in the garage and a few months later I bought another one only to have the same thing happen. Trying to get a hold of Amazon to rectify the situation or the company that made them has been quite an ordeal. They want me to take pictures and download them, etc… and what they don’t realize is people are just too busy for that and nor should they have to go to that trouble when the bottom line is these are basically junk. The worst part is thousands of them will end up in landfills. They need to take responsibility for their poorly constructed product. I should’ve read all the reviews because there are several just like mine. It would have saved me a lot of trouble and a lot of money and time. I should have sent the first one back immediately and I should’ve never bought the second one.

This umbrella is colorful and does the job to provide shade on my pool patio. I insert the pole into a center slot of a round table into a heavy-base stand that can be tightened. ( also purchased on Amazon). It is very sturdy. The crank opens and closes the umbrella easily. It does have a slanting feature at the end of a full opening of the umbrella if you are desiring more shade adjustment. The only thing I would like different is that the tie is not velcro like my last umbrella. You need to tie a knot in the ties.
