Fits well. Fits the steering wheel perfectly ['21 WRX]. It is rather cumbersome to stitch all the way around and to seat/hide all of the edges, but take your time. I said the "F" word many times if that tells you anything. I don't sew. It looks and feels nice.

Best bang for your buck My car suffered from the classic Subaru steering wheel leather peel, so I got this to test as a fix. I have to say it is the cheapest, but best additions to my car. Was afraid the faux leather wouldn’t have enough grip but it is even better than stock. I have a lot of sewing experience so install only took me an hour and a half, but even for a first timer, I could see it as a slight challenge but ultimately easy install.

Looks Decent, But Falls Short on Fit and Finish The concept is solid, and it does look better than a plain stock wheel — a reasonable alternative to a full carbon fiber upgrade. However, installation took time, the stitching process was tedious, and the cover tends to shift around. It had potential to feel more premium but didn’t quite get there.

Looks good, tucking slips out Got this one because it was cheaper than the others and I just wanted to try it out. The sewing takes a while but it’s fun to do once you get a rhythm going. Nice and tight fitment. The parts that you tuck in so slide out but I didn’t expect it to be perfect. Also, taking off the steering wheel to do this makes it so much easier

Looks great, feels great, install is frustrating The feel and look: it looks great and a huge improvement over the stock WRX wheel that started peeling. I was worried that the added thickness would look and feel weird, but it’s actually more comfortable, especially on tight turns where you get more grip. I love the feel of it. Hope the leather holds up.The install: Not easy to install. Takes a ton of patience. The hardest part is getting the pattern, and ensuring that the stitches you are crossing through are even on both sides of the seam, otherwise the alignment gets more and more out of wack as you go, until you realize it looks like crap and you have to undo half your work and start over. Watch a YouTube video on how to start the stitching… the instructions are bad.I recommend, but understand it’s not a quick task and it will make you frustrated as hell before you are done, but when you are done, the result is great.

Excellent and affordable way to fix a peeling steering wheel My 2017 WRX had a badly peeling steering wheel that looked and felt awful. An aftermarket wheel was $500 so I decided to give this DIY wheel cover a try. I watched a few YouTube videos on how to install it and it seemed fairly straightforwards. The kit includes everything you will need - even a nifty little scissors that works well for many things after the stitching project. The cover fits snugly and the cutouts for the spokes are properly positioned. There is a little stretch to the material so one can do a little tweaking of the fit here and there. I used a good bit of the included double sided tape and made sure to tack down edges and contours. Having done it once, I’d recommend applying the tape to the steering wheel rather than the underside of the cover. Also, don’t peel off all the tape backing at once, but only sections after you have the cover already in place. That way, you don’t have to fight the cover if it sticks down in a position you don’t like.Stitching is the tedious part and it took me nearly 3 hours to install the cover for the first time. Pretty sure I could cut that time nearly in half if I had to do it again. Pull out at least 4 times the length of thread as the length to be stitched, since it will be doubled up. You are supplied with way more thread than you need so don’t be afraid to use plenty. I started with a few temporary stitches to tack down the edges at the spokes to get an idea of the fit so I could tug the cover around if needed for evenness. Once in place to my liking, I stitched everything up carefully. Try to maintain even and constant tension in the stitching process or you will end up with an uneven pattern. The edges come together neatly without need for pulling hard so just focus on making neat passes.Well, that’s all the tips I have for this job. It was rather easy, if not a bit tedious. The result is a much improved look and feel. The wheel feels thicker and more “plush”. Time will tell how well this cover weathers over the years, but as it is now, I’m very happy with it and it was a very simple and affordable fix.
