Really nice set, decent price. Picked this up as an upgrade for my son and have been very pleased. The pieces are sturdy and good quality, the board is solid too. The felt insert on the inside that holds the pieces when not is use is really the only thing that seems cheap about it, but that's not a big deal to me. Overall it's a good looking set, for a great price that has held up well so far.

Well made, beautifully had-crafted appearance Love the large size and details, and the feel of the chess pieces is substantial. Like the felt on the bottom of each. The board is beautiful. I was so happy I bought this as a gift for my boyfriend.

Wow whoa woo wow. Very nice I like. Very nice board and pieces. This ambassador chess set is large with large pieces also, the craftmanship is excellent. I can see a lot of thought went into this. This my largest set yet, and love the size of the pieces. I took pictures of the kings next to a water bottle as a reference for the size. I gave this product four stars because the felt on the bottom of the pieces were poorly attached. The same amount of effort that was put into the craftmanship should have also went into the felt on the bottom of these pieces. The felt should have carefully observed to ensure it was on bottom nice and solid. I had to find another material to superglue to the bottom of the chess pieces. Despite the felt issue, this set is immaculate. Worth every penny. Absolutely gorgeous in my opinion.

I love it I got this Chess set for my grandson. It is very nice and put together very well. The pieces are sturdy and have some weight to them. The pieces are large enough to be moved easily without tipping over. The plastic molding to hold the pieces are a little flimsy other than that I am very satisfied with this chess set.

An artfully designed piece of craftsmanship Why did you pick this product vs others?:Wow!!! The craftsmanship of this chess set is impeccable. Beautiful precision cut felts on bottom. Husband just retired and looking for hobby for winter time. (He played years ago with a friend but never owned a chess set.). We first saw same brand/seller of a smaller set little less $ but because we wanted larger but we clicked on brand to see what else there was from same seller and we got this bigger size. I would recommend thinking of table you plan to use to decide size. Just click on brand and you will see other items by same seller/brand. We could not believe the quality. This is an art piece. We have had for few weeks and keep it open on a coffee table because it is so beautiful. Eventually will store when lot using. We are not snobbish but when I walk by it I joke with hubby I feel like it should belong to a professor’s in their library room. There is great storage folds up nicely with individual spots to hold pieces securely and when open cannot see the crease of where it folds which speaks to attention to details. We absolutely love this chess set!!!

Beautiful Absolutely beautiful set. I wanted to get a nice set that was accurate size and not cheap looking. I had bought a glass set previously but the board was hard to play on. My son has been playing chess since he was 6 and loves the game. I got this as a Christmas present for him and it was his favorite gift. The pieces are so detailed and has an elegant appearance. I do recommend to someone who wants a nice set.
