Perfect fit replacement. I only needed to replace the top part so didn't have to remove the tank or disturb the seal. New unit fit right into place. Hardest part was removing the old chain from the lever! Excellent.

The seven year old canister in one of our Kohler toilets broke at the top of the Aquapiston which resulted in poor flushing and water running. Lots of information online about breaks with the input water fitting on the Aquapiston or the Aquapiston cap. Our problem was with the cap breaking with the rod that goes down through the cylinder. We ordered the whole kit, and thankfully, I found an online video for replacing just the Aquapiston section so we did not need to take the tank off and replace the whole assembly which was shipped to us. I did a lot of research with the tank part number, the number on the old Aquapiston cylinder etc and it seems for our vintage of tank, the original part number was no longer relevant, despite it only being seven years old from installation. Very glad that we did not have to take the whole tank off and replace the whole assembly. It only took about 10 minutes. Frustrating though that we had to buy the whole assembly when we only needed the Aquapiston section with the rod that connects down into the parts that are screwed into the base of the tank.

The part number didn't match what I had found on the Kohler site based on my specific toilet's model number, but the description said for Cimarron toilet (which mine is), so I took the chance. The parts are identical to my original (but broken) ones. It fit perfectly. Works perfectly.

This product works well with the kohler, especially when the toilet has been discontinued. Hopefully, this part will still be available.

Easy installation Simple to install. Fixed my issue

Toilet tank needs to be removed to install this part. An almost exact replacement for the original part installed 12 years ago. Contrary to several reviews the toilet tank does have to be taken apart for installation. Fortunately my handy son was able to do the whole job in about 30 minutes. If you need to get a plumber to do it you might be better to purchase a total new toilet.

Fixed the problem Just what we needed. The yellow cap broke on our old one, it would cause the water hose to flip out once in awhile. Fast and easy fix.

Plunger mechanism for Kohler toilet was easy to fit and works perfectly. This replacement plunger mechanism for my Kohler toilet was not 'new' as I expected. It had not been used but had been opened and parts were rattling around in the box. I only need the top part though and it was a perfect fit. The total price was less than buying only that part though so I was satisfied with the purchase.

Can replace the inner stem without removing the whole unit from the tank. This was the perfect replacement part for my older, discontinued toilet tank. Replaced the broken part in about 2 minutes. Didn't have to replace the bottom connection, only the inner stem was broken. This part makes it easy to replace without taking the whole unit apart. Works perfectly, very happy!
