Not the Easiest to Install, Adjust, AND It Malfunctions Update August 2014...the button in the center that allows you to override the hot setting to make it hotter is now stuck inside and will not "pop" out. This is a dangerous event since anyone (children) can now turn the knob all the way to the override hot setting. I know MOEN is guaranteed for life, but the thought of opening this thing up again and reinstalling a new one gives me nightmares. I will live with this override setting not working properly since our kids are all out of the nest. I am lowering my rating down to two stars. It's just not a great design and the fact it functioned for only one a year is terrible.August 2013 - Original Review: Whew...the shower fixture is finally in and is up and running. The learning curve in the adjustment of this fixture (you have to set it to a temperature range for hot and cold) was a little steep for me. I do a lot of DYI plumbing, but the printed directions for adjusting the temperature range for this fixture (after installation) that Moen gives are horrible. I was online with Moen for hours (over four days). They finally had to transfer me to a technical specialist, AND we had to send photos back and forth to interpret the drawings in the instructions. And they finally concluded that the first mixing valve sent was defective (which is why I couldn't get the darn thing adjusted in the first place) and they sent me another one so I could install it all over again. However, now that the fixture is finally in and working, I really like the fact I can set the temperature of the water for me or my husband and THEN turn on the volume control. If I want it even hotter, I can press the center button and override the high end limit slightly. These are all plusses. Why Moen does NOT provide Youtube videos to help DIYers with installation is beyond me. Even Whirlpool does this with refrigerator filters. I gave this fixture a three for the horrible directions and for the fact every time you call Moen you have to start all over again with a different Customer Support representative. They DO NOT assign ONE specialist who can then ask the next time you call, "Well how did it go?" NO! You have to start all over again with the newbie. My advice for DYIers is to call Moen from the get-go when installing this fixture. Make certain you understand the numbered diagrams and images before beginning the adjustment part of the install. Send the rep photos if you have to (they do have individual email accounts to accept photos) to help clarify your questions about the images in the directions. Good luck!

Missing part but great product. After installing the items some parts from the knob were missing, fortunately Moen's customer service backed me up with the missing parts quickly. Vendor you missed a star for not checking the product. The item came in it's original box but it was open. As many of the products that I have from Moen they are great, no complaints about that.

A very nice set of valve trims A very nice set of valve trims. Very solid & heavy. Time will tell how the finish holds up. They look great in my remodeled shower.
