Addition of the Sliding is the Value Ryobi sells a lot of 7-1/2” cordless mitre saws.Paying a little extra for the sliding model lets me use this on 80% of my projects instead of dragging out my heavy/clunky 12” sliding mitre. Especially on mitre cuts on trim, molding, etc.No mitre saw is perfect but this one is repetitive so once you “calibrate” your cuts you know how to achieve tight corners.

Nice change from plug in I’m enjoying the saw with my existing batteries, cuts nicely and stops work well. It’s cut pine, oak, and MDF and laminate flooring using the original blade. Need to upgrade to a better blade for better cuts.

Super light weight chop saw I use this for finish trim. Cut well. Works all day on one 18v battery.Only single bevel so you cut flat but cut 51/4” base easy . Will cut bigger stock too but very light weight good saw for the cost

Super compact works just fine I do cabinets and cabinet repairs out of a compact car. This little saw has been an absolute life saver. Great for 90% of your mitering needs. Obviously it won't easily cut huge beams or massive decorative crown but just about anything else, it'll do just fine.

It works as well as my other chopsaws, and is battery! So far, so good. I used a 3rd party 9aH 18v battery in it. Battery is too heavy for truly portable tools, but works well here. I've used it to build several projects already. I have other Ryobi ONE tools, so I already have some confidence in it, and it did not disappoint.First thing I did was change the stock blade for a 60 TPI blade for cleaner crosscutting. Not that I'd recommend that for a general use saw, but I have other chopsaws with more aggressive blades for rough work, and I wanted to save this one for more precise cutting.
